The decedent was found deceased inside of a Conex style trailer on 2/21/2026, after a structure fire. Sacramento Arson Investigators are handling the investigation. The Conex trailer had signs of conversion, including framing and drywall on the interior, indicating the decedent may have been staying inside. The overnight temperatures were cold, and it was presumed that the decedent may have been trying to stay warm by lighting a fire. The source of the fire was undetermined.
