Emerson was last seen on 3/3/2026 at around 12:34am in his 2015 Ford F-150. Mr. Emerson never returned home that night. Investigation into the incident revealed Mr. Emerson's vehicle had struck a guard rail, left that roadway, and drove out on to the ice on Chautauqua Lake at around 4:30am. On 3/20/2026, Mr. Emerson's truck was recovered from Chautauqua Lake, but Mr. Emerson's body was not in the truck. The rear window of the truck was partially opened.
